Basic Info

The Nano-Research Center NETZ/CENIDE of the University of Duisburg-Essen, the CAR-Center Automotive Research and D+S Automotive are jointly organizing the annual RUHR Symposium. With the RUHR Symposium we want to deepen the cooperation between industry and research and create a exchange forum for ideas and innovations in the field of functional materials. The industry and its top managers/developers will meet top researchers and discuss current facets of functional materials from the material level to the application.

Prominent keynote speakers regularly enrich the event: In previous years, for example, we were able to welcome the EVONIK CEO, Prof. Dr. Klaus Engel, the CEO of BP Europa SE, Michael Schmidt or Prof. Dr. Robert Schlögl, Founding Director, Max Planck Institute for chemical energy conversion.
